Got a chance to work with some talented and fun people at TEDxFukuoka a few weeks ago. Some really good talks presented over the course of one Saturday at a hall in Tenjin. The tech junkie and musician in me really got excited about the presentation by Shunsuke Nakamura, founder of Shikumi Design. He presented music software that is controlled through Iron Man-type movements in front of a laptop. Kinda like Kinect meets Garageband. Really cool! And the awesome part is you have a choice of so many different instruments. You can make great music using the sounds of traditional Japanese instruments, then switch to piano and drums to create some jazz beats.
Watch out for it, I believe the talks from this weekend will hit the internets in several weeks.
