Namdaemun Market

It’s been way too long since I posted here. Pandemics have a way of turning life inside-out, especially when what you enjoy involves travel, connecting with the local community, and being around people.

Thankfully, many things have gone back to “normal”. Over the summer my family was able to travel back to Canada for the first time after 3 years, and during the Korean Chuseok break we took a much-needed, relaxing trip to the Philippines. My love of travel and photography also started coming back, and I find myself wanting to go out and shoot more pictures.

Right before the pandemic I also started a podcast called “Teacher/Jetsetter”, where I speak to international educators about why they chose to live abroad, and the general ups and downs of their lives as expats. I chose to bring the podcast and this blog together, hence the re-branding. I hope to keep bringing you interesting stories from different parts of the world, in the hopes of widening your perspective of different cultures and inspiring you to experience new things through travel.

Enjoy my first series of street photos from Korea in my 3+ years of living here. These were shot in Namdaemun Market a few weeks ago.

Today’s tools: Fujifilm X-T2, 18-55mm
